Southern Georgia

In the early 2010s, I spent two years in Valdosta, Georgia, just north of the Florida/Georgia border. Having just returned from a four year journey in south-central Alaska, I couldn’t get enough of the flora and fauna of southern Georgia. I spent a great deal of time trekking about the tangles of Lowndes and Lanier counties, looking for all manner of life (especially reptiles and amphibians). Of particular interest to me was Grand Bay Wildlife Management Area just outside of Valdosta, which will be represented heavily on this ever-growing gallery page. Truly, I amassed an enormous wealth of memories and photographs from this two year jaunt in Southern Georgia. All subjects were non-captive unless otherwise noted. This gallery will continue to be updated as new material is added to the site.
