With the sun starting to dip low and the day coming close to its end, I made my way to the Anhinga Trail at Royal Palm in Everglades National Park. This short loop trail is largely an elevated boardwalk wrapping around a small edged slice of Taylor Slough. It is an area brimming with fish, crocodilians, birds, snakes, frogs, turtles, and, of course, loads and loads of tourists. Though it’s usually more crowded with people than I prefer, I always stop by the Anhinga Trail for a leisurely walk.
