Here’s a shot taken near Sweet Bay Pond in the middle stretch of Main Park Road in the Florida Everglades. This is the typical view of this part of the Everglades — a vast wet prairie accented with small hammocks of dense trees and foliage. On this particular day, the area was moderately dry, so I decided to trek out a bit to Sweet Bay Pond (something that’s much harder to do in the wet season).
