Spring Break 2023: Panopeus lacustris
Panopeus lacustris, the Knotfinger mud crab (presumably);

I must admit, I’m not 100% positive of my identification here, but I do believe this is a Knotfinger mud crab, Panopeus lacustris, a fairly small mud crab species that ranges throughout portions of the Western Atlantic (including the Florida peninsula). I spotted the wee Crustacean blending in among the rocky edge of the Flamingo southern shoreline in Everglades National Park.
