Spring Break 2023
I next made my way down to Flamingo at the southern end of the Florida Everglades; this is where I would camp for the night. With an hour to kill before I could check in and set up camp, I hiked the short Eco Pond Trail. It’s not a long trail (or a difficult one), but it is a pleasant one with some unique habitat I’m not used to experiencing in central Florida. No snakes magically manifested for me, but I still enjoyed the fresh air and brilliant light and colors.
