As night thickens in south Florida, many of the snake species come out to actively hunt, and many of the gators settle down right at the water’s edge. With nothing but a headlamp to illuminate your way, you can come across damn near anything within ten feet of your person. In this case, it was a decently sized gator lounging about at the edge of a canal line.
