Alligators are, as you might imagine, a dime a dozen in South Florida. If you’re in Big Cypress and there’s water, odds are there’s a gator (or a dozen) nearby. As common as they may be, I easily find myself tempted to loiter about and watch them for a bit. Such a fantastic archosaur.
