Agkistrodon conanti, the Florida cottonmouth;
Volusia county, Florida (07 May 2020).

The behemoth escapes after losing its patience with the big, dumb hominid with the magic NIKON BOX. Again, I couldn’t get a shot that really reflected its size, but this Florida cottonmouth was gargantuan — I believe the largest I’ve ever seen, easily four feet in length and incredibly thick.
