Nerodia fasciata pictiventris, 30 April 2020

Nerodia fasciata pictiventris, the Florida banded watersnake;
Volusia county, Florida (30 April 2020).

This Florida banded watersnake’s persistent wariness of the land-bound hominid was greater than my desire to jump in the water to catch the snake. But it sure was lovely to watch swimming about!
