Dorian 2019: Tomoka Marsh, 04 September

Tomoka Marsh at Bulow Creek was, predictably, a bit inundated by water earlier today. This is par for course whenever we have tropical storm action in Ormond Beach, Florida. What’s interesting, and what I need to check out further, is that I don’t think this was at high tide.

These photographs were taken shortly before 10am. Low tide at the Halifax River, Ormond Beach (the closest non-Atlantic reading site), was at 11:38 am (with the next high tide at 5:08 pm). I’m not sure how much lag there is between the Halifax River, Ormond Beach site and this area of the Tomoka Marsh, but I’m tempted to check this spot out again later this afternoon!
