Dorian 2019: Thinking About Hurricanes & Anoles

As Dorian smashes the Bahamas and Florida awaits its fate, I spotted a Cuban brown anole (Anolis sagrei) hunting outside on my desk window here in Volusia county, Florida; a few of our resident Brown anoles seem to have taken to my lamp and now hunt moths at night right where I work. Anyhow with Dorian on my mind, I couldn’t help but to be reminded of an awesome study by Colin Donihue et al. in 2018: Hurricane-induced selection on the morphology of an island lizard.
