Dorian 2019: Good Fortune, Blue Skies

Bulow Creek State Park;
Volusia county, Florida (31 August 2019).

Today’s 11am updated forecast pushes Dorian’s projected trackline even further offshore as it passes us in Volusia county, Florida. Very good news for my stretch of the peninsula. If this projected track holds, we’ll certainly have some nasty weather and coastal problems, but we won’t get the Full Tilt Hurrigame that Dorian seemed willing to play.

Pictured here is a slice of salt-marsh-laden road that has a tendency to flood as tropical storms pass by. Figured I’d go check it out pre-Dorian and enjoy the dry, clean, crisp air.
